Hydrophobic PolySulfone MEMBRANE
Pacific Membranes hydrophobic polysulfone membranes have a highly asymmetric structure that provides high air flow rates and high particle holding capacity in compressed gas filtration. Hydrophobic polysulfone is designed for the removal of submicron particles from inert compressed gases such as air or nitrogen or bulk atmospheric gases. Hydrophobic membranes are also widely used in the semiconductor, microelectronics, pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries where vent filtration is required. Our hydrophobic membranes are an effective alternative to expensive PTFE membranes and other fluoro-polymer membranes.
Venting Applications:
Bioreactors
Carboys
Fermentation tanks
Isolation or environmental chambers
Receiving vessels
Prevents the entry of water and aerosols into sensitive equipment and also protects the environment from aerosolized pathogens
Allows air to enter and exit vessels such as bioreactors while maintaining the sterility of the interior environment
Air Filtration Applications:
Inert compressed gases including air and nitrogen
Bulk atmospheric gas filters prior to distribution of inert gases to appropriate areas of the manufacturing site
