HIGHLY ASYMMETRIC POLYSULFONE MEMBRANE

Having upstream pores that are one hundred times larger than the downstream pores, our polysulfone membranes have an unique highly asymmetric structure that provides built-in pre-filtration through the depth of the membrane and results in exceptionally high through-puts and flow rates. Our polysulfone membranes are unsupported and may be used in either direction; however for high dirt-holding capacity and high throughput (typically seen in pleated cartridge applications), orient the larger pore surface towards the flow source. For excellent surface retention of particles in applications where particle recovery is important (typically seen in flat membrane disc filtration and cross-flow modules), orient the tight pore surface towards the flow source.

Typical Applications

  • Ultra high purity DI water

  • Biologicals

  • Food and beverage

  • Ink-jet ink

  • General liquid processing
